On June 15th Adam's latest directorial jaunt, Rolling, played at its third festival of the summer, IndieWorks; a local monthly screening series run by fellow indie filmmakers. While it's always a pleasure to screen our films and feels like the perfect reward at the end of a long production, IndieWorks was a truly exceptional place to screen.
The cast and crew gathered with friends and family and from the moment we arrived it was clear that the festival was run by filmmakers for filmmakers. The event is highly community-based and invites filmmakers to interact before and after the screenings. Between programming blocks, the hosts brought the filmmakers on stage for a QnA/Discussion panel.
It was exciting to field questions from the audience and discuss the production process with the other filmmakers. At the end of the evening we were lucky enough to be voted best short by the audience and earned an invitation to be interviewed on the Congest Cat Insider Series. It was a joy to screen there and we hope to go back soon!
